The exhibition
The Observeur du design 13 exhibition opened its doors on 16 November 2012 at la Cité des sciences et de l’industrie and is scheduled to close on 24 March 2013. The Observeur du design 13 inauguration and award ceremony took place on 15 November 2012 in front of more than 1,200 people.
The exhibition design this year asks : « Design, where are you » ?
“Design is everywhere! It’s what runs through your mind when spying a coffee machine, a car, a smartphone, a bottle of fruit juice…and all those things which are so present in our daily lives such as objects, spaces, visuals, services, etc. Yet there is much more to design than meets the eye. In fact, designers intervene in multiple stages ahead of the creation of our day-to-day environment, in brainstorming and anticipation, in materials and production, in usages and services, in forms and colours, in identity and values. So many amazing fields to discover via the selection for the Observeur du design 13, in order to learn more about the influence of designers, the values which they create with public and private entities and the creative input which they provide to the benefit of us all.”
