In consultation with APCI, EDF has launched in 2010 the EDF Sustainable Design Challenge. Open in priority to partnerships between schools or universities (design, architecture, business, engineering…), the EDF Sustainable Design Challenge focuses on the materialization of day-to-day energy efficient solutions – for better life with efficient energy. The idea is to plant the seed of change and thus build a movement of reflection and new concrete solutions on sustainability matters.
In that context, EDF and APCI have set up a core group of leading actors from different countries and from different skill areas. These leading actors were invited to set multidisciplinary teams to propose and work on their own specific problematic. The aim is to deliver whole scenarios of life, pertinent to the challenge of “changing energy together for better living”. The first edition of the EDF Sustainable Design Challenge ends on June 15th 2011. Selected projects will be showcased on the EDF Pavilion during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, 2012.
